We are seeking papers for the 2025 Yale Municipal Research Conference, to be held in person on November 1, 2025, at the Yale School of Management. The goal of the conference is to bring together academics to discuss recent research on state and local government accounting and finance.

The conference welcomes innovative research that broadly provides insight into state and local finances and addresses issues surrounding financial disclosure and its use by various stakeholders. We encourage submissions examining (but not limited to) topics such as:

• Municipal financial reporting, transparency, and accountability
• Tax policy implications and revenue structures
• Use of financial disclosures by municipal bond investors, taxpayers, elected officials, and other stakeholders
• Municipal bond markets, credit risk, and debt management
• Fiscal sustainability and intergovernmental relationships
