48th European Accounting Association Annual Congress

We are pleased to invite you to the 48th Annual Congress of the European Accounting Association (EAA), hosted by the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the Prague University of Economics and Business, Czech Republic. The Congress will take place from May 27th to 29th, 2026.
The Prague University of Economics and Business, known in Czech as Vysoká škola ekonomická (VŠE), was established in 1953 and is the largest public university of economics in the Czech Republic. With a current enrollment of 14,000 students and a faculty of over 600 academics and business professionals, VŠE maintains partnerships with more than 250 universities worldwide. In March 2024, it became the first university in the Czech Republic to receive accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). VŠE is consistently ranked by the Financial Times and has been recognized by the Eduniversal Ranking project as one of the top business schools in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Faculty of Finance and Accounting specializes in corporate and public finance, accounting, taxation and tax policy, banking and insurance, and economic education. Its programs are accredited by prestigious institutions such as ACCA, ICAEW, CFA, and RICS. The Faculty’s mission is to be the leading institution in finance and accounting in Central Europe. Committed to principles of social responsibility, the Faculty fosters ethical behavior, individual and societal accountability, and the free exchange of ideas. Additionally, the Faculty is one of the constituents of the Czech Accounting Board.
It is a great honor for us to organize the EAA Congress for the second time. Building on our experience from 2004, we are committed to hosting an event that fosters scientific and educational exchange while providing ample opportunities for professional networking.

SUBMISSIONS:
Remember, if you want to submit a paper, you must be an EAA member in the year of the congress for which you submit. Hence, if you are not yet an EAA member for 2026, the system will invite you to subscribe before allowing you to submit.
Please note that only full papers can be submitted. All submitted papers will be double-blind peer reviewed. May I kindly request that you carefully read the information that you will find on the Congress website under the item “Submission Rules ” and the “Paper Submission Guidelines “, which will be very useful in submitting a paper and getting the most out of the Congress.
The paper submission deadline is 1 December 2025 23:59 GMT.
REGISTRATION FEES (in Euros):
EAA Membership fees
All registrants must be members of the EAA 2027. The EAA membership fee for 2027 is €100 (except for members in low or middle income countries). The PhD student membership fee for 2027 is €24.20. Membership fees include digital access to both EAA journals, European Accounting Review and Accounting in Europe. A paper copy of the EAA journals is available for an additional €20.
The EAA membership fee includes 21% Belgian VAT.
Registration fees
Early registration and paper inclusion in the programme (until 28 February 2026): €575
Late registration (1 March – 9 May 2026): €625
The congress registration fee includes 21% Czech VAT.
The registration fee includes: Early Bird Reception, Welcome Reception, Gala Dinner, lunch and coffee breaks during the conference, admission to all scientific sessions, all congress materials and administration costs. The EAA membership fee for 2027 is mandatory and invoiced together with the registration fee (except for accompanying persons).
Please note that some scholarships will be available for PhD students. More information will follow soon.
Accompany persons
We are happy to receive accompanying persons with the delegates to Prague. The accompanying persons registration fee is €300. The registration fee for accompanying persons includes the Welcome Reception and the Gala Party, but no admission to the academic sessions.
