5th Norwegian Tax Accounting Symposium
June 11-12, 2026
NHH Norwegian School of Economics, Bergen, Norway

The 5th Norwegian Tax Accounting Symposium brings together leading international researchers, representatives from the Norwegian Tax Authority and practitioners from business community to discuss current topics and insights in tax accounting.

Income taxes are an important cost for firms and a major revenue source for governments. In the course of economic globalization, tax-related regulation is becoming ever more complex. The aim of this conference is to understand how tax, audit, and financial accounting rules and incentives shape firms’ decisions over tax reporting, financial reporting, auditing, and investment.

We bring together leading international researchers to foster and enhance collaboration among academics. We also seek to make academic research relevant and accessible to corporate and regulatory stakeholders. Conference participants will be accounting scholars, representatives from the Norwegian Tax Authority, and practitioners.

Confirmed speakers:

    • Mary Cowx (Arizona State University)
    • Daphne Armstrong (University of Michigan)
    • Martin Jacob (IESE Business School)
