The Journal of Accounting and Public Policy (JAPP) is pleased to announce its ninth annual conference, which rotates among the IE Business School, the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Maryland's R. H. Smith School of Business. After cancelling the 2020 annual conference because of the COVID-19 crisis, we hope to be able to hold the ninth conference in June, 2021, at University of Maryland's R. H. Smith School of Business.
The theme of the conference will be: Accounting and Personal Finance
The theme of the conference is the impact of financial literacy on financial decision-making with an emphasis on the role of accounting knowledge and information. All papers that examine any aspect of financial literacy will be considered. Potential issues of interest that fit within this general theme include, but are not limited to:
Papers submitted to the JAPP conference will be subject to a blind review process.
Papers accepted for presentation at the conference will also be considered for publication in a special theme issue of JAPP edited by – Kathleen Weiss Hanley (Lehigh University, College of Business) – Annamaria Lusardi (The George Washington University School of Business).
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Papers for the 2021 conference issue may be submitted through the Editorial Manager electronic platform by December 31, 2020. You can access the platform through this link: https://www.editorialmanager.com/jpp/default.aspx
Please make sure to submit the paper to the conference special issue by choosing the option “SI:Accounting and Personal Finance” as the paper type. Conference acceptance decisions will be made by early March 2021.
