Dear colleagues and friends,
Accounting for Impact (AFI) – a network that fosters engagement and impact for accounting scholars – wishes you a Happy Friday!
After its official launch last March and subsequent events (see recording of the last one ‘Teaching with Cases: Impact in the Classroom’ here and slides here), we invite to our next one: ‘Academics Engaging with NGOs and Grassroots Organizations’.
At this event, we will discuss the topic of academics engaging with NGOs and grassroots organizations, and the use of participatory methodologies to increase the impact and relevance of research. The event will feature three speakers, Noomi Weinryb (Södertörn University), Julie Bernard (Ivey Business School at Western University) and Nelson Dueñas (Universidad Externado de Colombia) who will share their experiences and insights on this subject, moderated by AFI’s Joel Bothello. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about how to foster mutually beneficial relationships between (accounting) researchers and non-profit organizations, and how participatory methodologies can be utilized to create meaningful impact.
When?
Where?
Please feel free to forward/share this invitation to your respective networks.
Also, if not already, please feel free to join us a AFI member here to receive newsletter and other updates, and follow us on social media – on Twitter (follow), LinkedIn (follow) and Facebook (join group – feel free to request and invite your colleagues/friends!).
We look forward to seeing you there and at future AFI events!
Cheers!
The AFI Team
Charles, Erica, Julie, Joel, Alessandro, and Leanne
