BACKGROUNDWe are pleased to announce the 13th Financial Reporting Workshop, which will take place at the University of Florence, Italy. The Workshop will start on July 6, after lunch and will finish on July 7, 2023 after lunch.The Workshop venue is located in the city centre of Florence, about 10 minutes’ walk from the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (click here to view on a map: Via Laura 48, 50121, Florence, Italy).The Workshop dinner is also located in the heart of the city of Florence, very close to Piazza della Signoria, in the wonderful venue of Palazzo Gondi (click here to view on a map: Palazzo Gondi, Florence, Italy)

TARGET AUDIENCEThe Workshop offers a meeting opportunity to academics and practitioners who are interested in recent developments and research projects regarding financial reporting. Therefore, we encourage the submission of both empirical and theoretical papers and case studies addressing financial reporting issues in a broad sense. SESSIONSThe Workshop offers two types of sessions:

  • Parallel session with discussant, which includes papers that are sufficiently developed to benefit from an in-depth discussion;
  • Research forum, which includes early stage papers and research proposals, with the aim of challenging and improving both the research idea and the research design.

 SUBMISSION PROCESS AND KEY DATESShould you wish to have a paper considered for the presentation at the Workshop, please email a full paper or a 1,000-words abstract (eligible for research forum only) by no later than May 15, 2023 to the following e-mail address: info@frjournal.eu

  • Submission deadline: May 15, 2023
  • Notification to authors: May 30, 2023
  • Registration deadline: June 15, 2023

Please note that submission and registration is already open. FAST TRACKAfter incorporating the comments from the discussant, papers included in parallel sessions with discussant are eligible for a fast track in the Financial Reporting journal with the aim of receiving a decision within December 2023.Financial Reporting provides a forum for quality research contributions with theoretical, practical and policy implications, using either quantitative or qualitative research methods. The main objective is to promote a European debate among scholars concerning the role of accounting in business.REGISTRATION AND FEESThe Workshop fee, including coffee breaks, dinner on July 6, and lunch on July 7 is:

  • 150 euros reduced fee (PhD Student, Post Doc, Accompanying person)
  • 200 euros regular fee (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor)
  • 250 euros late registration fees (applies to all registrations later than June 15, 2023)
