About

Following a successful conference with over 180 scholars and practionners as participants, we cordially invite you to participate in the 2nd edition of the GIGS Summer Governance and Sustaibility Symposium (July 7-10, 2023) in Hammamet, Tunisia.

With the growing urgency for climate solutions, blockchain technology could be a powerful tool to revolutionise sustainability and green finance, especially as transparency and traceable information are critical in measuring and monitoring climate impact. GIGS symposium is to provide an unparalleled opportunity for scholars and practitioners in accounting, finance, management, leadership, economics, entrepreneurship, sustainability, supply chain, and technology to get together in a refreshing and inspiring setting to engage in stimulating transdisciplinary conversation and debate that takes our scholarship to new heights. What better place to renew old and begin new friendships, to engage with and inspire each other than the breath-taking beaches and blue sky of Hammamet, Tunisia.

Because GIGS aims to promote an integrative and interdisciplinary understanding, education and practical implementation of state-of-the-art systems of governance and sustainable development and to allow scholars the freedom to explore without the constraints of formatting and robustness tests, we invite you to select the paper you want to present. Should you present, you will be paired with another renowned scholar who will discuss your paper. In return, please commit to discuss one or two papers. We believe this unconventional approach for encouraging each other to bring out and share those not-quite-finished papers in a supportive setting creates an atmosphere and excitement that spills over to interchanges that continue long after the conference ends.

GIGS Doctoral/Junior Faculty Consortium: In addition to the regular public round table and academic sessions, GIGS Initiative will hold the GIGS Doctoral/Junior Faculty Consortium to provide an opportunity for students and junior faculty to present their proposals and interact with renowned professors of international standing.
