About the Roles

The Department of Accounting comprises 44 faculty staff and is internationally renowned for its innovative and high-quality teaching and research. Key areas of focus include capital markets, organisational governance and accountability, auditing and assurance services, reporting (financial and non-financial), the financial implications of political connections, integrated reporting, SMEs and NFPs, accounting professionalisation (with a focus on Indigenous accounting and business, and financial planning. The Department is seeking suitable candidates for appointment at Level D (Associate Professor).

To be successful you will have PhD in an accounting area of study, and an accounting professional major recognised as equivalent to an Australian professional accounting major degree. You will have distinguished scholarly learning and teaching in UG and PG programs in two or more of the following areas – sustainability measurement and reporting, management accounting and control, accounting information systems, or ESG, knowledge of AASB/IFRS/IASB accounting and other reporting and disclosure regulations, corporate legislation, and ASX reporting and disclosure requirements. You have an internationally recognised research reputation underpinned by accounting-issue based publications in high quality journals.
