Faculty Positions in the Business Foundations Program

 
The Ivey Business School at Western University, London, Ontario seeks candidates for a limited-term teaching position in the Business Foundations program. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in management, business or a related discipline, but those who are ABD or have an MBA or related degree plus significant industry experience may also be considered. Experience teaching at the University-level will be an asset. Academic rank will be determined by qualifications and experience. The Limited Term appointment position will be for two years, beginning in early May 2021 and ending in early May 2023. Successful candidates will be required to attend paid training on a full-time basis in May and June 2021.
 
Successful candidates will be expected teach up to three sections of Business 1220E, Business 1299E, or Business 2257 during the winter and/or summer academic sessions in each of their two years. These undergraduate courses are student-centered, case-based and developed and taught by the Ivey Business School and available to students across the University. Business 1299E is a required course for engineering students; as a result, those applicants who also have an engineering degree are encouraged to apply.
 
Successful candidates will be responsible for all activities related to teaching the course, curriculum development, writing and setting of exams, managing case competitions, training new Lecturers, managing and recruiting teaching assistants and providing academic guidance to students. Successful candidates are also expected to perform service activities such as, but not limited to, teaching high school case classes and judging case competitions. Vacation entitlements must be taken during July and August 2022.
