The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) invites applications for PhD Position in Accounting. The position combines enrolment into the full-time PhD Program in Accounting and teaching-related duties in academic programs offered by the Department. You will be working alongside world leading academics in a busy, exciting and innovative department. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND THE PROGRAMME: Our internationally-respected PhD programme takes place in a friendly international community. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should be committed to completing their PhD degree in accounting, and should meet the requirements for the enrolment into the PhD program (see http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/lums/accounting-and-finance/research/phd/). You should also be committed to pursuing an academic career. You should be able to pursue your own independent research programme under the supervision of a team of experienced supervisors. You should have competence to assess and potentially deliver material at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
RESEARCH INTERESTS: We are interested in recruiting a candidate with research interests in financial reporting, financial analysis, bank accounting and regulation and other related fields of accounting research (see https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/lums/our-departments/accounting-and-finance/research/).

CONTRACT TERMS: The position has a fixed duration of 5 years, and the candidates are expected to complete their PhD by the end of year 5.
