Post-Doctoral Researcher in Accounting

Your responsibilities

70% of the time will be allocated to research and teaching activities linked to the research project granted by the Sandoz Family Foundation – Monique de Meuron programme to the supervisor, Professor Gaia Melloni.
The specific research programme that Prof. Gaia Melloni was awarded is in the field of sustainability accounting and looks at the incorporation of social and environmental information into traditional financial reports and approaches that make possible to track organizations’ financial performance alongside their environmental and societal impacts.
A second main area of investigation explores whether businesses that have adopted sustainable behaviours have been more resilient during the Covid-19 crisis.

Your qualifications

•    PhD degree (or near to completion) with excellent skills of quantitative data collection and analysis;
•    Strong interest for research in the fields of Sustainability accounting, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure and/or performance measurement, Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS).
•    Skills in textual analysis, coding and programming language (e.g. Python) and/or data mining, machine learning.
•    Fluency in English and strong academic writing skills.
