Early Bird Reception

The University of Tampere is located just across the street from the Tampere Hall. The Early Bird Reception will be held in the recently renovated main hall of the University.

Church Concert

Location: Tampere Cathedral

Tampere Cathedral was built in 1902-1907. The interior of the Cathedral is decorated with famous works by Hugo Simberg and Magnus Enckell. Today, it is a highly popular site for concerts and weddings. Tampere Cathedral is located in the centre of Tampere, some 10-15 minutes walk from the Tampere Hall.

Welcome Receptions

Locations: Museum Centre Vapriikki and Old City Hall

The City of Tampere will host the receptions and welcome the congress delegates to Tampere. The receptions will take place in two separate locations, in each of which food and drinks will be offered by the city. Each delegate will receive an invitation to one of the locations together with the congress materials. The organizers kindly request you to attend the reception stated on your ticket.

Museum Centre Vapriikki is housed in the area of Tampella, formerly the major industrial area in Tampere. The oldest parts of the centre were built in the late 19th century. Vapriikki is located in the centre of Tampere, about a five minutes walk from the Tampere Cathedral, and some 20 minutes from the Tampere Hall.

The Old City Hall was designed by architect Georg Schreck and inaugurated in January 1890. It has since been fully renovated to its original appearance in 2003-2004. The Old City Hall is located at the Central Square, about a ten to fifteen minutes walk from the Tampere Cathedral, and some 15 minutes from the Tampere Hall.

Gala Dinner

The 32nd EAA Annual Conference will end with the Gala Dinner. The gala will kick off with a short concert, followed by a festive dinner in the decorated Tampere Hall.
