 Rome, Italy

Italy has been home to many European cultures, such as the Etruscans and the Romans, and later was the birthplace of the university and of the Renaissance, that began in Tuscany and spread all over Europe. Italy’s capital, Rome, was for centuries the center of Western civilization. In the atmosphere of the Renaissance, Italy was also the cradle of the pioneer contribution of Luca Pacioli to Accounting.

Rome, with its more than 2,600 years of history and culture, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Combining the splendour of its unique artistic, archaeological and environmental heritage with the fast-paced existence of a modern metropolis, it offers a wide choice of activities. Located in the very centre of Italy, with its highly developed infrastructure Rome links the country’s northern and southern regions and provides a bridge to the rest of the Mediterranean and the other countries of Europe.

EAA 34th Annual Congress’ participants are welcomed to Rome where past and present blend vividly and history endures in its monuments, museums, palaces and street life. In proximity of Luiss University there are more than 30 hotels and almost 2,000 rooms. Almost each hotel, located in the congress valley is in the walking distance to Congress Venue and offers various categories with different and reasonable price ranges.
