Class Room Session on Good Teaching Practices Wednesday, 10th May 2017 – 17:00–18:30 Chair: Ann Jorissen, University of Antwerp With this session the EAA wants to launch a new initiative in the area of education. So far the EAA provided a network and support to enhance the research capabilities of academics. These days education performance takes up a more important place in academic evaluations than before. There are several possible ways to help academics with teaching and organizing class room sessions at a conference, is one possibility. In a class room session, the audience fulfils the role of the students and the presenting academic illustrates his/her new teaching approach with respect to a certain topic or method. This is the first "class room session" organized at an EAA conference. After this session, we will distribute a survey to find out how the EAA could help academics also with their teaching responsibilities and if there is a need to do so.
