Turin is compact, elegant and made for walking — and although the Congress venue sits in the south of the city, a little away from the historic core, you won’t have to choose between charm and convenience. Two tram lines, 4 and 10, stop right beside the venue and run straight through the most beautiful parts of the city. Choose a hotel in the historic centre or along one of these lines and you’ll spend your evenings among Turin’s arcades, cafés and piazzas — and reach the Congress each morning with a single, direct tram ride of roughly 15–20 minutes. Travelling by tram also supports the Congress’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

One simple rule for choosing

Stay somewhere served by tram line 4 or tram line 10 — the two lines that stop at the venue (stops Montevideo and San Marino). Both cross the loveliest districts of the city, so wherever you stay you’ll have Turin’s character on your doorstep and a straight line to the Congress.

1. The historic centre — Via Roma, Piazza San Carlo, Piazza Castello

The heart of royal, Baroque Turin: elegant arcades, historic cafés, world-class museums and the city’s most beautiful squares, all within walking distance. Tram 4 stops at Porta Nuova, Duomo–Musei Reali and Garibaldi, putting the venue one ride away.

A few we like: Grand Hotel Sitea, Hotel Concord, San Carlo Suite (on Piazza San Carlo), Corte Realdi (on Piazza Castello).

2. Porta Nuova & the Crocetta fringe

Grand nineteenth-century avenues and arcaded streets around the main railway station — refined, central and superbly connected. Tram 4 is practically at the door (stops Porta Nuova, Sommeiller, Stati Uniti).

3. Porta Susa & Piazza Statuto

Ideal if you arrive by high-speed train: Porta Susa is Turin’s Frecciarossa/TGV hub and a metro stop, while tram 10 runs from nearby Piazza Statuto directly to the venue. A lively, well-connected area a short walk from the centre.

4. Close to the venue — Santa Rita

Prefer to be a few minutes from the Congress? The leafy, residential Santa Rita district around the venue offers quieter and often more affordable options, with the centre still an easy tram ride away.

Also worth knowing: San Salvario, the buzzing restaurant-and-nightlife district just east of Porta Nuova, is only a few minutes on foot from tram 4 — a great pick for food lovers.
