Getting to the Venue

EAA 2027 — Getting to the Venue

One address, two tram lines, no changes needed.

The Congress takes place at the University of Turin’s School of Management and Economics, home of the Department of Management “Valter Cantino”, in the green, residential south of the city. Getting there could hardly be simpler: trams 4 and 10 stop right outside, and from the historic centre or the main railway station you’ll be at the door in roughly 15–25 minutes, on a single direct ride. It’s also the most sustainable way to reach the Congress — and the one we warmly recommend.

By tram — the easiest way

Two tram lines link the venue with the city centre, the railway stations and most of the Congress hotels. Wherever you are staying, it is worth choosing a hotel along one of them (see Hotel Accommodation).

Tram 4 — stop: Montevideo

Tram 4 crosses the city from north to south, passing through the historic centre (stops Garibaldi and Duomo–Musei Reali), Porta Nuova station and the elegant Crocetta district before running down Corso Unione Sovietica. Get off at Montevideo: the campus is right in front of you.

Tram 10 — stop: San Marino

Tram 10 is the natural choice if you arrive at Porta Susa or are staying in the west of the centre: catch it at Piazza Statuto, a few minutes’ walk from the station, and get off at San Marino, about a 3-minute walk from the campus.

Good to know: the tramway along Corso Unione Sovietica is being renewed, and the Montevideo stop may occasionally be closed or served by replacement buses (line 4N). If so, use the San Marino stop, just a 3-minute walk away. Please check GTT service updates or Moovit shortly before the Congress.

By bus

Several bus lines also stop within a short walk of the venue:

Line Stop Walk to the venue
Bus 1510 / 1511 Montevideo about 1 min
Bus 14 and 63 Reduzzi a few minutes
Bus 17 Filadelfia Ovest a few minutes

From the railway stations

  • Torino Porta Nuova — walk out of the main entrance towards Via Sacchi and take tram 4 southbound (direction Drosso/Mirafiori) to Montevideo. No changes, about 15 minutes.
  • Torino Porta Susa — the high-speed hub (Frecciarossa, Italo and trains from France). Walk to nearby Piazza Statuto (about 5 minutes) and take tram 10 to San Marino. Alternatively, ride Metro Line 1 three stops to Porta Nuova and change to tram 4.

From the airports

Turin Airport (TRN)

Take the train from the airport station to Torino Porta Susa (about 30 minutes, roughly three trains an hour), then continue by tram 10 as described above. A taxi from the airport straight to the venue takes around 35–40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Milan Malpensa (MXP)

Direct coaches connect Malpensa with Turin in about 2 hours (Arriva, Flibco). From the coach stop in the city, continue by tram 4 or 10. Full details on flights, airports and transfers are in Getting to Turin.

By taxi

Taxis in Turin are white and can be found at official ranks (at the stations, the airport and the main squares), booked by phone or through an app. Radio Taxi Torino: +39 011 5737 · taxi-torino.it. Ask the driver for “Corso Unione Sovietica 220, Scuola di Management ed Economia”.

By car

The venue is easily reached from the Turin ring road (Tangenziale) and from Corso Unione Sovietica, one of the main roads into the city from the south. It lies well outside the historic centre’s Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), so there are no access restrictions. On-street parking in the area is limited and partly paid (blue lines), so if you are driving to Turin we suggest leaving the car at your hotel and travelling to the Congress by tram.

Tickets and apps

  • Tap & go: the simplest option is to tap a contactless card, phone or smartwatch on the yellow reader when boarding the tram or bus (or at the metro gates). Each tap buys a “City 100” ticket — currently €1.90, valid for 100 minutes on all urban lines and one metro ride. One card per traveller.
  • Apps: buy single tickets and day passes on GTT’s official app TO Move; plan your journey with live times on Moovit or Google Maps.
  • More details on fares, multi-day passes and shared bikes and scooters are in Practical Information, and on the GTT website.
