ΕXCURSION 1 :  To Polis Chrysochous and Latchi/Boat ride to the Blue Lagoon (9am-5pm)

Our tour will take us through the banana and tobacco plantations along the Coral Bay road.  This will be an unforgettable drive though the scenic villages of Peyia, Kathikas, Arodes, Droushia and Neo Chorio where you can admire the long hectares of vineyards, carob trees, as well as stone-walled traditional houses.

Our first stop will be at Aphrodite baths in Latchi. We will follow the nature trail in order to reach the famous grotto where pure water is still marvelously running through the times from a natural spring. Legend has it, that the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, came to bathe and meet her lover Adonis at this secret spot.

The heart of Latchi beats at the picturesque harbor and promenade, reputed for its fresh fish taverns, shops and bars; we will take the opportunity to view the daily activities of local fishermen and wander at the promenade of the harbor, before we board on a glass bottom-boat that will take us to the Blue Lagoon. The boat will stop there for some time, so that you can swim and have a traditional “souvla” lunch on board!

On the way back to Paphos we will stop in Polis Chrysochous cobbled center, where you can have a short stroll for a coffee and a visit at the souvenir shops.

ΕXCURSION 2 : Paphos Town/Mosaics/Tomb/Ag. Paraskevi 9th cent.church (8:30am-12:30pm/or 1pm-5pm)

Paphos was the capital of Cyprus during the Roman era. The entire town is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring monuments of exquisite and unique beauty. We will first head off for the world famous Paphos Mosaics. We will walk to the ‘Roman Villas of Dionysos’, where we will see the ploughshare, which accidentally uncovered part of a mosaic pavement in 1962. This was the beginning of a series of excavations that finally revealed 22 rooms, 14 of them with mosaic floors representing hunting scenes and Greek mythology of exquisite beauty and perfect geometry.

Continuing our historical trip, we will visit the 'Tombs of the Kings'. This area contains underground tombs said to rest noble men, carved out of solid rock, which date back to the 3rd century B.C, creating a sense of mystery and secrecy.

Our trip’s last stop will be at “Agia Paraskevi Byzantine Church” in Geroskipou village.

This interesting 9th century Byzantine church is a five-domed, three-aisled, barrel-vaulted basilica, making it one, of only two such churches on the whole island, and a significant example of Byzantine architecture. The beautiful interior wall paintings date to various periods, from the 8th-15th centuries. Apart from its frescoes, the church also contains a rather significant double-sided icon, dating to the 15th century. The Virgin Mary is depicted on one side, and the scene of the Crucifixion on the other.

25 Euros per Person

ΕXCURSION 3 : Nicosia Town/Archeological Museum/"Petra tu Romiou" (9am-5pm)

Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus and a must for every visitor on the island.  Our tour will first lead us to the Cyprus Archaeological Museum, where a huge collection of important archaeological findings are housed and through which the long cultural and historical heritage of the island is revealed.

Driving along the UN Buffer Zone and towards old city, we will see one most unfortunate distinction; the fact that Nicosia is Europe's only militarily divided capital, since 1974.

We will continue our visit to the old city within the Venetian Walls. ‘ Laiki Yitonia’ is a beautifully restored 18th century neighborhood which has kept the traditional style of the ‘old times’ market, restaurants and narrow paved streets, with local merchants and craftsmen displaying their hand-made products. You will have some free time for a stroll in the souvenir shops, which feature excellent samples of Cypriot history and culture. We will then stop for a sumptuous lunch in a traditional tavern offering local meze, accompanied by nice local wine.

Before we leave Nicosia, having boarded on the buses, we will pass by the “Archbishopric St. John's Cathedral” and the Liberty Statue, which are situated in the heart of old town too.

On the way to Paphos we will stop for a photo at “Petra tu Romiou” where the goddess of the island, Aphrodite was born. This is an interesting geological formation of huge rocks along one of the most beautiful coastlines on the island.

ΕXCURSION 4 : Limassol Town/Mountains – Omodos Village/Petra tu Romiou (9am-5pm)

Limassol is the second largest city of the island, with stretches of sandy beaches, beautiful traditional and modern buildings as well as first-class hotels.

We will stop at the core of the city with its narrow streets radiating out from the old fishing harbor, where shuttered houses and modern boutiques both squeeze themselves into the fray. It is an area buzzing with cafes, bars and restaurants, all located around the Limassol Medieval Castle, that we will visit. According to tradition, this is where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England in 1191. The Castle Museum houses pottery, tombstones, superb silver Byzantine era plates, weapons, crosses and coins.

Next, we will visit the new Limassol marina, with the exquisite yachts, a long-planned construction project, which has brought new, high-end life to the area.  Lunch will be in a traditional, local tavern nearby.

Out of Limassol and on our way to Omodos, a wine producing village built on the Troodos hillsides amidst expansive hectares of vineyards!  It is one of the most picturesque villages in Cyprus with its narrow cobbled streets and the majestic ‘Monastery of Holy Cross’ in the village square. Some free time to enjoy Cyprus coffee and visit the souvenir shops.

On the way to Paphos we will stop for a photo at “Petra tu Romiou” where the goddess of the island Aphrodite was born. This is an interesting geological formation of huge rocks along one of the most beautiful coastlines on the island.

ΕXCURSION 5 : Mountains – Platres/Kykkos Monastery/Prodromos/Troodos (9am-5pm)

This excursion will take through the mountain picturesque winding roads of Troodos Mountain Range. First stop will be Platres; the most stylish mountain resort in the Limassol district and a popular place for excursions.  From Platres we will head off to Kykkos Monastery, which is the largest monastery in Cyprus, founded in 1080.  The Monastery features a contemporary museum with priceless ecclesiastical relics and pontifical of late Archbishops and bishops.

Next stop will be our lunch place, the village of Prodromos that is famous for its cherry and apple varieties. Lunch will be ‘meze’ type at a traditional family run tavern.

Following lunch, we will reach the highest peak of Cyprus, Troodos, with its picturesque square. We will then head back to Paphos.
