Tourism Opportunities

We have put together a selection of a few thoroughly selected activities and excursions that are highly recommended for participants who are interested in spending some enjoyable spare time while getting acquainted to the local flavours, as well as some of the most renowned tourist attractions in Bucharest and Romania in general.

Participants who are interested in attending one or more of these activities are invited to access the link for additional detailed information related to each tour / excursion, then to contact directly the corresponding listed travel agency (detailed contact information is also found below for each option). Please note that all the tours and activities are to be reserved and paid by the participants directly to the travel agencies, and no financial liability lies with the EAA for any of these activities. Each agency has also provided a deadline for registration and reserves the right to cancel any attraction that is not confirmed by the desired number of people, within the indicated deadline.

Additional requests (related to the dates, logistics and other tour options) are also to be addressed directly to the tour organisers. All recommended travel agencies are certified, high quality and best reviewed tourism operators that will accommodate the participants’ requirements to the best of their abilities.

Tours and activities in Bucharest

  1. Bucharest City Tour
  • You will drive through the centre and the northern part of the city with an English-speaking guide and see the most iconic landmarks. You will visit the second-largest building in the world – The Palace of the Romanian Parliament. After the tour, you will enjoy a delicious dinner of traditional Romanian dishes at one of the most interesting local restaurants.

  1. Relax at Therme Bucharest

  1. Unhealthy Food Tour of Bucharest
  • Take a break from your diet and explore different neighbourhoods of the city by tram, walking, and by trolleybus on the Unhealthy Food Tour of Bucharest. Enjoy delicious tastings of traditional Romanian grilled ground meat rolls (ro. mici), Wallachian doughnuts (ro. papanasi), and chill out with a beer.   1. Valea Prahovei Mountains (Bran – Dracula’s Castle, Peles Castles)

Dracula’s Tour

  • One Day trip to Bran (Dracula’s) Castle & Peles Castle – The tour will help you find out more about the real story behind Stoker’s character. You will see why the former ruler lives up to the legend. Romania is well-known for its connection to the character of Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”, which was inspired by the former Wallachian prince named Vlad the Impaler. It is thought that he has killed from 40,000 to 100,000 European people, mainly by impaling.

2.3. Carpathia Wildlife Experience

Danube Delta Tour

Day Trip at the Winery

  • If you are a wine enthusiast and love the countryside, one of the best experiences you can do is to get lost along the numerous wine roads of agricultural land. The wine tasting at the Lacerta Winery includes 6 wines and platter with cheeses, a visit to the winery and the vineyard.
