Lecturer (assistant professor)/Senior Lecturer (associate professor) in Accounting

The Accounting Group at Bayes Business School, City, University of London, is looking to appoint a lecturer (assistant professor) or senior lecturer (associate professor) in accounting.

The Accounting Group is part of the Faculty of Finance, which is one of the largest finance groups in the UK and home to world-leading academics with research and education expertise in all key areas of accounting finance. The faculty nurtures scholars who strive for international impact through their research, education, and service. Programmes are based on the Bayes blend of theory and practice and benefit from our proximity to, and close links with, the City of London.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will conduct research and design and deliver high quality education in Accounting. You will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including large-lecture and online classes. You will play a full and active role as a member of the Faculty of Finance.

Person Specification

Candidates for Lecturership should have, or be close to obtaining, a PhD in Accounting. They must have an in-depth understanding of their specialism to enable the development of new knowledge and a strategy of research leading to top quality publications. Ideally, candidates can showcase a track record of delivering high quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Candidates for Senior Lecturership should be able to demonstrate a track record of quality publications in leading academic journals, evidence of high quality teaching and ideally of leadership.

Candidates should hold an HEA Fellowship or equivalent or be willing to gain HEA Fellowship within 12 months of appointment.

The salary range for this role is from £47,423 to £69,562 per annum
