11th WORKSHOP ON AUDIT QUALITY

The workshop aims to promote discussion by sharing recent research on the major topics related to audit quality. The target audience: academics, PhD students, regulators and practitioners in the area of auditing and governance.

General track – Call for papers
The workshop aims to promote discussion among academics by sharing recent research on the major topics related to audit quality.

We invite papers that address (but are not limited to) the following topics:

• the role of regulation in improving audit quality
• corporate governance systems and their impact on audit quality
• audit quality and ethical standards
• auditor characteristics (independence, reputation, industry specialization) and audit quality
• auditor personal and professional skills as key drivers of audit quality
• audit market structure and audit quality
• new technologies and audit quality
• audit/accounting education and audit quality
• sustainability and audit quality
• measurement of audit quality
• audit quality and capital market efficiency
• audit behaviour (professional scepticism, incentives) and audit quality

To be eligible for presentation, manuscripts written in English must be submitted through the Workshop website. Only full papers will be considered in the selection. A discussant will be appointed to each presentation.

Early Researcher Track (ERT)
The target audience of the Early Researcher Track are PhD students in their last year, post-doctoral researchers or early career researchers. If you are in one of these categories please submit via the link below and select the ERT track.

Full papers or extended abstracts with preliminary results (no limit on number of pages) can be submitted for this track.

FEES:

Regular fee: EUR 350 (+ 22% VAT)

Eligible Early Researcher Track participants: EUR 250 (+ 22% VAT)

Note: If you are submitting a paper to the Early Researcher Track, please wait for acceptance before registering. A discount code will be provided by the administration.

Cancellations made before August 31st, 2026 will be reimbursed minus 20% of the total fee. No reimbursement will be possible after that date.
