The Department of Accounting & Sustainability Reporting at Goethe University Frankfurt invites expressions of

interest for a fixed-term postdoctoral position, comparable to a non-tenure-track assistant professorship. It is

designed to launch a research career: you’ll have most of your time for your own research agenda, support

to publish in top journals, and a moderate teaching load.

Who we are

We are a dynamic and international department. We do empirical and theoretical research on financial reporting,

managerial accounting, and sustainability reporting, with a shared interest in corporate transparency, disclosure

regulation, and the economic effects of reporting. Our faculty publish in leading accounting and finance journals

and are part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center TRR 266 “Accounting for Transparency,” one of

Europe’s largest accounting research networks.

Who we’re looking for

• A PhD in accounting or a related field, completed or close to completion by the start date

• A strong research agenda and the ambition to publish in leading journals. Any methodological approach is welcome; we’re especially interested in work on reporting, disclosure, regulation, or sustainability
• Enthusiasm for working with colleagues and contributing to the department’s research community
