Associate Professor (Teaching) in Accounting |
|||
The post is primarily associated with The Department of Accounting at the Business School, which is one of three ‘research-led’ departments who share the ambition to advance world changing knowledge and secure global impact through increasingly collaborative research across disciplines with colleagues in Durham University and beyond. We will seek to contribute perspectives that enhance the utility and impact of research in other disciplines with scholarship and methods that promote a more equitable and sustainable future for all. As a department that is continuously seeking to develop challenges of both rigour and relevance, we publish our work in internationally outstanding journals and disseminate it beyond the academy. We seek to further enhance our standing within the academic community while ensuring that our research provides even greater benefits to wider society. In support of our aim to build upon and improve our success, the School is developing existing strengths including investing in Faculty. As such, the School seeks to appoint an Associate Professor (Teaching) within the Department of Accounting. This is a PhD level post and candidates would normally be expected to have (or have almost completed) a PhD or would have demonstrable practitioner experience and skills that would equip them to operate in accordance with the requirements of the post in a scholarly environment. The post will involve a significant teaching load, including during the summer period. |
