Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) invites applications for faculty positions in the Department of Accounting. Position 1: Zhang Tongshen Endowed Professor in Accounting

Job Description & Qualification

To promote the development of the accounting discipline at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), and to attract top-tier academic talents, Mr. Zhang Zengji, Chairman of Hong Kong Herald Holdings Limited Group and Honorary Trustee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has donated a special fund to establish the “Zhang Tongshen Endowed Professor” position.

This position is intended to recruit one leading scholar with internationally academic reputation and leadership, who will lead the frontier development of the discipline and enhance the academic influence and internationalization level of both the Department of Accounting and the College.

Positions

One Zhang Tongshen Endowed Professor in Accounting. Research areas include core and interdisciplinary fields such as financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, auditing, taxation, ESG, and the application of artificial intelligence and large language models in accounting.

This is a full-time tenured faculty position at SJTU. The appointment term and evaluation procedures will be conducted in accordance with the University’s relevant policies.

Job Responsibilities

1. Discipline Leadership: Guide the frontiers of the discipline, take the lead in developing strategic development plans, and foster breakthroughs in core research areas.

2. Hold the rank of tenured associate professor or above at renowned universities or research institutions globally.

3. Possess high academic prestige and internationally recognized research achievements at the forefront of the accounting field.

4. Demonstrate the capacity to lead disciplinary advancement and guide the team in conducting major research initiatives.

5. Possess strong teaching proficiency and the ability to teach core accounting courses.

6. Research interests align with the Department of Accounting’s development priorities.

7. Commit to full-time on-campus work; the general age limit is 55, with flexibility for exceptionally distinguished candidates.

Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) invites applications for tenure-track positions in Accounting at all levels (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor). We seek applicants with strong research potential, as well as commitment and dedication to teaching. We enthusiastically invite scholars with an excellent record of research and teaching for senior positions.

Positions

One tenure-track position at the assistant, associate, and full professor levels in the areas of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, ESG Reporting, Information Technology in Accounting, AI and Large Language Models in Accounting.

Qualifications

All candidates should have a Ph.D. or be fresh graduates in Accounting, or other related disciplines. They are expected to have a strong commitment to research and teaching with evidence of publication potential and ability to teach in English and Chinese.

Compensation and research funding are internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
