Congress Committee

The Congress Committee oversees the preparation and organizing of the EAA Annual Congresses. The committee serves as the primary contact point for prospective conference hosts, and its key role is to encourage and screen offers to host future EAA conferences. During the congress preparation, the committee oversees and provides guidance to the local EAA congress organisers by following their compliance with the EAA conference guidelines and by overseeing the budget and budget revisions of the local host. The Congress Committee is responsible for drafting the EAA Congress Guidelines  and reviewing them on a regular basis.

Areas of Focus

Interested in hosting the EAA Congress?

  • developing the EAA Annual Congress to ensure its continuing and future success;
  • maintaining its position as an attractive event for accounting scholars worldwide;
  • reviewing and developing the congress model to ensure that there will also be interested local hosts in the future with feasible congress venues.

The EAA Annual congresses are organised by its members and are hosted at a selected university. We strongly encourage you to submit your applications if your university wishes to host an annual event, which attracts participants from all over the world.
