The EAA Education Committee is glad to announce an online education event on “AI-Gen-Case: The Future of Case Study Teaching”.

When: October 8, 2025; 13:00-14:30 CET

Overview:

This seminar introduces “AI-Gen-Case,” an innovative teaching approach that leverages generative AI to create and solve personalized, interactive case studies in real time. It addresses key challenges of traditional case-based pedagogy—such as limited generalizability, outdated content, lack of personalized feedback, and unequal participation—by offering dynamic, student-centered, and data-driven learning experiences.

Key Topics

  • The limitations of conventional case studies in today’s educational environment
  • The structure and implementation of AI-generated case studies using prompt engineering
  • Interactive feedback and AI-mediated Socratic dialogue to deepen learning
  • Practical classroom strategies: AI-chat sessions, oral validation through AI-facilitated role-play, and prompt refinement
  • Ethical considerations and critical thinking about AI use in education
  • Preliminary results and student feedback

Objectives:

  • Demonstrate how AI can be used to transform the way cases are taught and assessed
  • Inspire educators to explore customizable, feedback-rich alternatives to static cases
  • Spark discussion on responsible AI integration in higher education
