The EAA Stakeholder Reporting Committee (SRC) is pleased to continue the “In Conversation with…” Webinar Series.
This session has been organized jointly by the EAA SRC and EAA Education Committee (EC) represented by Joanna Krasodomska (SRC Member) and Anastasia Kopita (EC Chair).
The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is updating the International Education Standards (IES) to emphasize sustainability reporting and assurance competencies, reflecting the evolving role of professional accountants in this critical area. IFAC’s launch of a public consultation on these proposed revisions, which concluded on July 24, 2024, represents a crucial step in advancing global sustainability disclosure standards that align with the needs of investors and other stakeholders. Through extensive stakeholder outreach and research, it has become evident that while professional accountants possess skills applicable to sustainability reporting and assurance, a dedicated focus on sustainability within the IES is necessary. The planned revisions are intended to address this need.
This “In Conversation with…” session aims to present and discuss the IES revisions.
